..I'm a blue little birdy

Blu and Jewel have three kids and while Jewel tries to teach the children to live off the land, Blu lives like he did in America. Linda and Tulio who are now married go to the Amazon to bring a bird they nursed back to health to its natural habitat. While there, they think other birds like Jewel and Blu live there. So they go on TV and say they will find them and when they do, it will help get the area declared a preserve. But a logger not wanting that to happen tries to stop them. When Jewel learns of this she wants to go there and see if there are any other birds like them. But Blu who is a city bird doesn't want to but he decides to go to make Jewel happy.
Encik Ryunosuke: “It not as good as the first movie. Even though it has evolve to much larger blue bird species, the story wasn't so. I expected it to be more funny as what most animations was suppose to be! I suppose I wont repeat it, well maybe if it shows on TV I still would..”
Miniihairaa: “I like it. Well, I like the music. It was Bruno Mars! As for the story, it was as expected. Nothing serious but still entertaining and a lot of fun to watch.”
Rio 2, was a sequel that can't be missed if you're a fan of the first film.

..Why So Serious?

Gotham City.
After the fall of Carmine Falcone, the remaining crime bosses try to pick up the pieces. Batman wants to finally get rid of organized crime for good and be free of their corruption. With the help of Lieutenant James Gordon, and new district attorney Harvey Dent successfully begin to round up the criminals that plague Gotham City until a mysterious and sadistic criminal mastermind known only as the Joker appears in Gotham, creating a new wave of chaos.

The Joker terrifies the citizens and throws the city into disorder which provoke Batman to struggle against him becomes deeply personal, forcing him to confront everything he believes.
Encik Ryunosuke: “In the end, I was speechless. I had nothing more to say, by far it was definitely the greatest movie this year or maybe ever?
The beginning was great. You wouldn't want to miss even a second of it. You'll be tied up to your seat! There's a few moments of boredom for some, but just when you think you're gonna go to sleep, it hits your adrenaline non-stop after. The sound effect, the music was wonderful. There's a lot of unexpected elements that makes this movie remarkably miraculous.
Right now, I am thinking of buying the batmobile and the batpod toys, but they are RM1450 & RM780 respectively! I know how the badpod came out before watching this, but I am still amaze when I watch how it came out of the batmobile and I know you will be too!
The Joker has the best performance ever! Absolutely superb acting and I think it's legendary! The whole movie was about him, and yes, there's a whole new level in villain in this movie.”
Marina: “I slept somewhat in the middle but then I woke up it was "whoaa~". Right then I felt the real thrill. I don't quite understand the continuation, probably need to watch Batman Begins.”
The Dark Knight is definitely a must-see. Go watch it in the cinema. Go watch in a Gold Class screen even. It's worth it!

..superheroes were not born, they are built

Imagine if you were captured by terrorists and they forced you to work for them – to build a hi-tech missile! Tony Stark, a billionaire industrialist is captured by terrorists in Afghanistan (typical huh?). Ordered to build a missile for them, Stark uses his resources instead to build a powered exoskeleton (some kind of bulletproof suit of power armor) to make his escape.

Stark improves his armor, complete with advanced weapon and flying capabilities and becomes the technologically advanced superhero Iron Man. Knowing Marvel superhero comic, Iron Man suit needs a highly powered source to activate thus a magnetic device in Stark’s chest was replaced with a mini-reactor of his own design.

Encik Ryunosuke: “I love superhero movies, but I’m not really into comics. Iron man story is quiet new to me – nope I didn’t read them comics. I’m really sure that by far, this was definitely the best comic superhero movie pilot EVER! ..er up till now I guess. I like the detailed storyline which was arranged perfectly one phase to another. I don’t think they skipped any important elements in the story. Don’t want to get into the actor – which is undoubtedly dazzling with ideal casts. The soundtrack was very, very good; it gets us into the whole mood of everything. The Iron Man itself, urgh~ let me just tell u, I wish I had one. If only the movie have more robots, it will easily beat Transformers movie for special effects. One thing that is obvious, the upcoming Incredible Hulk has a HUGE load of expectation to pleased, which Iron Man has sets a new standard for superhero movies!

...and make sure you stayed until the end of credit to view a somewhat a sneak peak of iron man samuel sequel *winks*”

Marina: “(waiting for my review huh?)”

Iron Man is a must-watch movie! You definitely got no reason not to go and watch it - if you could get any ticket that is.. :p

...Three relationships. Three disasters. One last chance.

If you have a child, make sure the kindergarten don't have er "science" class in that early stage, else you would be like this political consultant, Will, who tries to explain to his 11-year-old daughter, Maya, about his impending divorce and past relationships.

That only happens after she was taught about how babies are born that same day! And as Will tells her his tale, Maya helps him to understand that it's definitely never too late to go back... and maybe even possible to find a happy ending.

Encik Ryunosuke: “It’s a good drama, well basically it was a love story, but not the typical ones. You could say it was something entirely different from its genre (if it has one) on the way it was presented. It feels merely like Disney production’s movies e.g: Enchanted & the Game Plan. I like the script. Plus. a touch of wittiness makes the movie out of the expected. It was astonishing how they “re-invent” the whole 90’s scenes when it goes waaaayy back where mobile phones were first used, and the unforgettable internet modem with the annoying dialing sound starts to invade our lives! The song list was way too cool for a Disney movie which makes it er cool-er!”

Marina: “‘Definitely, maybe’ is movie about William Hayes’s daughter; Maya on her curiosity on how was her father’s past love relationship. Level of curiosity augmented when she was thought in her elementary school about sex education, it rises it more on how she was produced; a man and of course a woman to produce a child. By saying, “Dad, we need to talk” when her father was fetching her from school, got the father’s to confess on his experiences about his previous relationship encountered and one of them was Maya’s mother. The story began.

Maya’s succeed to convince the father to tell the story. She was excited, thrilled and felt disappointed on the father’s discovered behavior. Nonetheless, the only and one truthful discovery was, not too look at the past but to focus at the future. Being heartless and had broken up many times, William Hayes probably had enough of flings, unattractive chemistry until he forgot to realize what love is all about. Well, thanks to Maya, she mad him realized that of all the many girls he had encountered, only one of them truly stole his heart, not even Maya’s mother. Years after years separated William Hayes to tell her that he was madly in love with her and the love was customary by this young lady. In life, you would never know who your soul mate is until you have encountered much indifference between human and make you realize that there are somebody out there waiting for you in open arms.”

If you are a fan or Disney kinda movies with a bit of twist, you might enjoy this - plus, they lived happily ever after... *winks*

One Elephant One World One Story

What would you do if one day you heard a noise coming from inside a dust on top of your not so clean keyboard while you were reading this review? It turns out that there were living being inside it, and I mean a whole community of er “people” really lived inside it.

That was basically happened to Horton, the Elephant, who struggles to protect a microscopic city called Who-ville, inside a speck of dust. To make things worse, his neighbors refuses to believe it exists, and plan to eliminate the speck.

Encik Ryunosuke: “This is the best Dr Seuss' movie translation ever! Well, I never read the book but obviously it was way better than The Cat in the Hat and the same if not better than The Grinch. The characters have that Dr Seuss’ feels which is recognizable, in addition there are some cartoon-ish animation slotted inside which makes it interesting enough. The 3d was way realistic especially in the beginning but the characters make it not too serious. It was really funny and apparently I really laugh a lot, but most of the funny part was inside the conversation which most people don’t really get it. As for me, I’ve watched too many trailers & previews make it less funny since I already knew the lines. All in all, the story was great. It taught us to be kind to people, whoever they are. As Horton says it best, "a person's a person, no matter how small".”

Marina: “The cinema was too cold and my attention span was decreasing throughout Horton's journey. But it was funny and sometimes weird, and I love it!”

Have a mindlessly good adventure. Watch it, laugh out loud and burst your heart out!

..Their World Is Closer Than You Think

The Spiderwick Chronicles is a magical children fantasy adventure story where twin brothers Jared and Simon Grace, along with their sister Mallory, find themselves pulled into an alternate world full of faeries, goblins and other creatures, upon moving into the run-down Spiderwick Estate with their mother.

It was all because of the entire secret of the "other world" was revealed inside the book written by Arthur Spiderwick, the twin’s great-great-uncle, which he experience himself. Far that he knows, a shape-shifting ogre named Mulgurath desires the book for supreme power.

Encik Ryunosuke: “As a child, I really love the movie. And I mean, really, really love it! There's a whole new world and numerous unique creatures were revealed inside it. They say it’s different from the book, which they usually are. Nevertheless, the storyline were good – not too fast, not too slow, the special effects were realistically believable, the character was perfectly developed and the ending was brilliant! Simple enough to be unexpectedly brilliant! However, as an adult I might not like it because of lack of “action”, but obviously I prefer to be a child.”

Marina: “In the beginning I was easily “astound” when one-by-one a new creatures revealed inside the hidden world. I was scared if it were ugly ghost-like monster appear, which until the middle of the movie, I am certain that it was definitely a children fantasy movie. In the end, I enjoyed it but not so sure I am satisfied with the ending..”

Go watch The Spiderwick Chronicles with your family. They will definitely enjoy the movie!

..If you think you've seen it all... Look Again

8 Strangers. 8 Killing Angles. ONE CHASE.
What would you get out of this tagline? 8 different point of views of one incident. Er, from my simplified point of view, it was 8 people experiences for a 45 minutes event.

Nah, the movie was not justs 45 minutes but the whole storyline was. It somewhat feels like the tv series 24, but instead of hours, it was in minutes.

Encik Ryunosuke: “Another different movie. It was unexpectedly a brave try by the filmakers - I salute! The scene arrangement was cool - from less important to the target itself *duh?*. Transition between scenes was ok (it could be better with some new undeveloped special effects probably?) and the continuation of the story is acceptable. Somehow, 8 point of view was too much? and at some point when moving to a different view/scene, there are unintentional laughter in the cinema - or was it made that way? Car chase was a bit too long and of course, unreal. ”

Marina: “I can't make it for the show! *sigh*”

If you like typical terrorism - action movie with a twist on the storytelling part, then this movie is for you. There's no romance, no comedy just plain pure action movie.

..anywhere is possible

Got a chance to watch Jumper yesterday nite.

How was it? With the tagline "Anywhere Is Possible" it was a direct, straight to the point movie, and as what we’ve most likely expected - they can just go wherever they want.

Well, the idea was probably taken from Hiro Nakamura’s teleportation power but without the time bending. Or maybe not?

Encik Ryunosuke: “It was ok. The story is simple - love rules. The first time that teleport effect came out, it was amazing. But thru the end of the movie, it seems that somehow the “teleport” special effect seems er not so special anymore. Probably because it was overused hence the feeling of excitement happened only once at the beginning. It was quite a slow ride for me. I can say it was dreary. Nevertheless, the effect was awesome, nothing new, but still it’s a good watch.”

Marina: Best!!* I like it, it was good. You should go and watch it!”

*Means very good :) Yes it makes no sense, but that is how we say it in Malaysia when something is good.
